Road cycling

Fitness- and distance-oriented cycling on paved surfaces. Road cyclists go long, so wind over a multi-hour ride matters more, and a tailwind-out / headwind-back route is miserable. Temperature comfort is wider at the cold end (they're dressed for it) and narrower at the hot end (sustained effort in heat is rough).

Ideal air temp: 48–72°F. Comfort range: 28–85°F.
